Nursery as part of the Foundation Stage follows a different curriculum to the rest of the school. The topics covered in FS1 (Nursery) link to the 6 strands of learning: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication, Language and Literacy; Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy; Knowledge and Understanding of the World and Physical Development. The subjects taught later on in the school all relate to these 6 strands of learning. We hold the Foundation Stage at Southfield in very high regard as the attitudes to learning and the foundations of later academic success are rooted firmly here. Our current Nursery teacher is Ms M Clifton and she is ably partnered by Mrs Y Zito(Nursery Nurse).
